As James the lead vocalist was in Mungo Jerry you can still hear a fast hard hitting country blues sound influenced by the likes of Leadbelly. The band also feature various rock covers like Wiskey in the Jar and original material. Andy Hines is a wizard on Lesd Guitar and electrified mandolin. The youthful Gavin Bain is a poweful bass player, bringing a more up to date sound to the bottom line. The percussion is provided mainly on washboard using sticks and an oversized goat skin bass drum, played in footapping New Oleans style by the Neil Thomas.
